The Terrace of the Leper King is a 300-metre long terrace wall, the East face of Phimineakas and adjoins the Terrace of the Elephants. The name is thought to have been derived from the legend that Yasovarman I was afflicted with leprosy. The two and a half-metre tall wall is filled with fine carvings of warriors, dancers, and a five-headed horse.
Approaching from the South side, there is a “hidden” terrace section that was originally sheltered, containing five-layer motifs of asuras (demons) and nagas (serpents) in incredible condition.
