Tambomachay is a well-preserved archaeological site near Cusco, nicknamed El Baño del Inca (The bath of the Incas). Tambomachay has a series of waterfalls that run through the terraced rocks, as well as canals and aqueducts. Although the site’s original purpose is still uncertain, experts believe that it might have been either a spa resort for the royals and nobles, or a military outpost.
