Owing to its close proximity to Ubud, and the fact that it looks stunning, it’s become a top tourist attraction. The steep terraces are surrounded by lush coconut and banana trees, bringing to life everything that you imagined Balinese countryside to be.
This remains an active farming area, and so the locals go about their work and try to avoid the thousands of camera / smartphone-toting tourists. There are a myriad of street vendors and restaurant options that line the West side of the rice terraces.
